“Friends Offered Her Surgery, but I Love Every Curve on Her Body,” Pierce Brosnan Responds to Trolls Who Body-Shame His Wife

Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith are one of the most long-lasting couples in Hollywood. They have been together for about 30 years, but their eyes still shine with love. Brosnan doesn’t hesitate to display his affection for his wife in public, despite the fact that her weight has been openly criticized by trolls.

Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith met in Mexico in 1994. At that time, the actor was still mourning his first wife, Cassandra Harris, who passed away from ovarian cancer in 1991. Smith was always very understanding about that. She supported Brosnan through this tough time in his life. “I suppose Keely is my North Star, always looking out for me,” said Brosnan, admiring her kindness and compassion.

They had their first date a few days after their first meeting. The couple sat down under the stars holding hands and talked until 3 in the morning. And from that day on, Brosnan and Smith did everything they could to not be separated from one another.

Brosnan and Smith were together for nearly 7 years before they decided to get married. They tied the knot in 2001 in a private ceremony in Ireland.

They’ve been married for more than 20 years and still behave like newlyweds, walking hand-in-hand, hugging, and kissing. The secret to a happy union, according to Smith, is “being best friends.”

In addition to their romantic relationship, Brosnan and Smith have also worked together on various projects, including producing a documentary film called Poisoning Paradise, which focuses on the environmental impacts of chemical pesticides in Hawaii.

Smith was able to find a common language with the 3 children Brosnan has from his first marriage. She also has 2 sons with Brosnan named Dylan and Paris. After the birth of the children, the сelebrity started gaining weight. Recently, she was openly fat-shamed by trolls on social media. A Facebook post, which showed an old picture of Brosnan and his wife in the ’90s alongside a present version of them, pointing out the change in the couple’s bodies, went viral.

Even though the post was deleted, Brosnan responded to insults about the inappropriate attitude toward his beloved wife. The actor said, “Friends offered her surgery to reduce her weight. But I strongly love every curve of her body. She is the most beautiful woman in my eyes. And also because she had our 5 children.”

By the way, Smith remains cool about the criticism of her weight. In 2006, she told Vogue magazine, “I never shy away from ... my curves. I never hide in baggy clothing.” Perhaps it’s her husband’s love and support that makes her so confident and stunning.

Despite facing challenges throughout their relationship, Brosnan and Smith have remained devoted to each other and have built a strong and lasting union. What do you think true love is? Share your opinion with us in the comments!
